Blue-skied, sunny days may be rare in this city, so we know how to make the most of them. We’ve scouted out the best (outdoor and indoor) locations to up your status to London cool-girl. Follow along for our top picks.
Sunday Strolling — Notting Hill
Notting Hill is meant for Sunday mornings. With an array of cute coffee shops, boutique stores, and Portobello Market nestled within, this neighbourhood has something for everyone. Not to mention the cotton-candy coloured houses are the perfect backdrop to any Instagram photo. If you’re lucky, you might even find your own Hugh Grant. 😉
Bottomless Brunch Fix — Grind
Is there anything better than a bottomless brunch? The answer is yes — a bottomless brunch in one of the most aesthetically pleasing cafes. Grab your best friends and head to Grind for unlimited prosecco on weekends and the perfect flat lay shot. (P.s. we recommend the blueberry pancakes.
Shopping Addiction — Harrods
If you haven’t been to “Shoe Heaven” you are seriously missing out. Harrods is one of London’s oldest department stores and a leader in luxury brands. This seven-floor maze has everything from a food hall to a dessert bar, with shopping mixed in between. Take a walkthrough around the Christmas season for a gloriously, over-the-top display like no other.
Sweet Tooth Cravings — Peggy Porschen
Pink lovers, feast your eyes. Peggy Porschen is an adorable bakeshop with a millenial pink theme and cupcakes that can’t be beat. Peggy’s baked goods have graced many A-lister events (Kate Moss and Stella McCartney’s weddings) and totally live up to the hype. With two London locations, now the rest of us peasants can treat ourselves like the It-girls.
A Classic Landmark — The Red Phonebooth
You’ve seen the photos — a tourist inside a red phone booth pretending to be on the phone. Before you roll your eyes, give this London icon a chance. Scattered throughout the city, these phone booths were basically made for the perfect Instagram shot. Bonus points if you can get another famous landmark in the background.
City Views — Sky Garden
This might just be one of London’s best-kept secrets. The Sky Garden, located in the heart of the financial district, gives you the best views of the city. This lush garden on the 35th floor boasts three restaurants and two bars for all of your romantic evening needs. Enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the city and feel like London royalty.
Friday (Or Wednesday?) Night Drinks — Tonight Josephine
After-work drinks are a weekly guarantee in London — why not use the opportunity to capture that perfect ‘Gram? Tonight Josephine is the perfect place to combine both. Not only are the cocktails adorable but, who can resist a neon sign? Not us.
Street Art Scene- Shoreditch
We couldn’t do this guide without giving a shout out to our own neighbourhood. Shoreditch is the latest trendy hangout in London with tons of streetwear shops and home to some of the coolest bars. However, it’s the street art that really sets Shoreditch apart. The spray painted murals that line the streets are the perfect backdrop for your next candid.
For the Wannabes- St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel
If you know, you know. The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel is not only breathtaking but also happens to be the location of the iconic Spice Girls video “Wannabe.” This five-star hotel has held a place in central London since 1873 and has not budged. While staying a night there might break the bank, there is no harm in a quick picture.
The Brits are always up on the latest trends — especially when it comes to Instagram. 🇬🇧 Keep up with us as we head back across the pond for our next travel guide to the city that never sleeps.
